Your Destination Weddings Specialist!

Why are destination weddings so popular you may ask?  Just watch either version of the movie "Father of the Bride" (1950 with Spencer Tracy, Joan Bennett, Elizabeth Taylor or 1991 with Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, Kimberly Williams-Paisley) and you'll see.  Funny it maybe in the movies but weddings are seldom funny.  Hands down destination weddings are less stressful for everyone involved.

Resorts and cruise lines have made it easier and more appealing to wed on-site. Many have full-time wedding coordinators on staff who are familiar with that country's marriage license requirements and who offer wedding packages that take care of all your ceremony essentials (photographer, cake, minister, etc.). You step off the plane and sign the papers; they take care of the rest.

Are they costs effective?  You bet!  For instance, a couple can fly to an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica, get married, and stay for a fabulous week long honeymoon for a few thousand dollars, including lodging, meals, drinks, and airfare. To ease the financial burden, many couples opt to travel to a place where they can get married, have a honeymoon, and still have some money left over to start their new lives together.

What about the friends and family?  A destination wedding is a once-in-a- lifetime friends and family reunion opportunity.  How much time do you actually get to spend with your family and friends at a typical wedding?  Destination weddings are on vacation time. You're usually required to arrive a few days early to fill out the paperwork, so by the time your wedding rolls around, you've had two to three days of fun with your sweetie, family, and friends. How often do you have the opportunity to spend no-rush quality playtime with dear, far-flung friends? This is your chance.

How does Red Parrot Travel and Honeymoons know?  Because we have experience.  We've helped couples plan weddings in Jamaica, Mexico, Bahamas, Aruba, Dominican Republic, St. Thomas, St. Maartin, Grand Cayman, Florida and cruising the Caribbean.  A destination wedding can be just for two or 150 of your closest friends and family.  Whatever your requirements are, there is a destination wedding to fit your needs.
